At The Run Squad we are proud of the achievements and inspirational stories of runners who have followed our training program. Here are just a few of those such Champions.
At 75 years of age Paul Feain is not only the oldest member of our squad, he is possibly one of the most inspiring and admired.
​
The veteran runner turned to running after suffering a number of life threatening strokes to get himself fit and and healthy.
​
These days Paul doesn't miss a session and his determination to complete all sets is second to none. He races most weekends in races across the country in all distances from 5km to Marathon.
​
He is a LEGEND in ours minds!
Rhett Gibson is one of those Athletes who lives and breathes his sport. His knowledge and understanding of what it's like to compete at the highest level makes him a most valued member of our Team.
​
The Winner of the 2019 UTA 50 and second place in the 2019 and 2024 6 Foot Marathon ranks him amongst the best Ultra Runners in the country. He holds the course record for the Bondi To Manly 80km Coastal Course and was the first Australian in the 2024 Mont Blanc Ultra.
​
He is humble and genuinely supportive of every runner in the squad, a true gentleman of the sport.
Relatively new to running Will Mison is certainly turning heads. Will has risen to prominance in 2024 with some outstanding results in some of the country's biggest events.
​
Perfecting his skills in our Tuesday morning sessions in the park and our Track sessions with the Elite Squad he has built his speed endurance and taken his running to another level.
​
He placed 7th in the 2024 City2Surf in a time of 43 minutes 40 seconds, and was the 3rd placed Australian and 17th overall in the 2024 Sydney Marathon (2:24.41).
At first glance, Triathlete Jake Foster could be mistaken for Superman!
​
An impressive athlete across all disciplines Jake is a regular at The Run Squad training sessions where he refines his fitness for the run leg of his sport.
​
He is climbing the world rankings in Triathlon and in 2019 is an Australian Representative at the World Ironman 70.3 Championships in Nice.
​
Jake loves joining us for our Track sessions on Wednesday Evenings where he focuses on building his speed endurance.
Gerber Koster - The Flying Dutchman
​
Gerber is one tough Athlete with what many describe as super human strength.
​
With a main focus and passion for running longer distances, preferably on trails with challenging elevation profiles, Gerber has ran some of the toughest races around. These include The Tarawera ultra 50km , The UTA 100 finishing in sub 12 hours and in the top 3%, The Hounslow Classic (68km) – finishing 6th and most recently the 100 Mile The Great Southern Endurance Race, finishing 9th in 37 hours and 40min.
​
He says he joined The Run Squad to incorporate intervals and variety into his training, as well as to properly warm up / cool down and meet people that can push him at every session.
Little Aaran Kieth is one very inspirational person.
The young Para Athlete is heading toward great things.
​
He is an age group World Champion and Record holder for the 400m Track Race at the Race Running World Championships in Denmark he has dreams of one day being an Olympian.
​
Coached on the Track by Woz he is admired by all of his peers in the Junior "Up And Running" Squad for his resilience and never give up attitude.
​
One of our most impressive Junior Athletes is Amelia Stynes.
​
The former Kincoppal School House Captain has an extensive list of achievements, School Records and State Representation in Track and Cross Country events.
​
With a current focus on 400, 800 and 1500m Track racing you will often find her banging out some fast times at our Track sessions.
The "Pocket Rocket" Sarah Ludoweci is one of the toughest and determined young runners going around.
​
Sarah was an Australian Representative at the 2019 Trail Running World Championships in Portugal, and is an expert on the trails with great technical skill and climbing strength.
​
Recognised as one of Australia's leading Female Trail Runners she can often be found training on the technical trails each weekend in the Blue Mountains.
Cecilia Malmberg is a striking figure on the track in her The Run Squad kit.
​
The former European Junior Track Champion, Cecilia is now one of the best credentialed Master's Athletes on the Track circuit.
​
The World Masters Track Representative specialises her pet events the 800 and 1500m.
​
She is an impressive athlete and an inspiration to athletes half her age, Cecilia is a great mentor and wealth of knowledge to our Junior Squad.
Lulu Miskin is a Youth Olympian in the Sport of Biathlon, a combination of Cross Country Skiing and Rifle Shooting. The sport not only requires great endurance but the ability to control heart rate levels in order to shoot targets with great accuracy.

The Sports Captain at Kambala Girls School, Lulu joined The Run Squad to enhance her fitness for the gruelling race across the snow on Cross Country Skies.
​
She will represent Australia at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne.
16-year-old Piper Simpson is a young girl with a bright future ahead.
This Junior Track and Cross Country athlete trains with the Up And Running Junior Squad and participates in her favorite sessions with The Run Squad.
Piper is a National Junior Champion in the 800m, 1500m and 3000m track events, and the 2024 Australian Cross Country Champion.
Piper is also a well-known competitor in the Fun Run circuit, frequently winning overall female categories against seasoned adult runners.
The Track Master Brad Sharpe is an Athlete who is truly passionate about his sport.
​
The highly successful middle distance track specialist has an impressive collection of State and National medals in every colour at distances between 800 and 3000m.
​
Brad is also a leading Age Group force on the Fun Run circuit rarely beaten over his favourite 5km distance.
After completing numerous road marathons Keith Mullen switched his attention to trails in 2017. He has completed the UTA 100km twice in under 12 hours and more recently was 6th at the Maurice Mullins 51km, 3rd at the Eco Trail Wicklow 80km (Ireland's biggest Ultra Race), and 8th at the Snowies Ultra Trail 50km.
Keith is a positive spirit and with a great attitude towrd his craft. He says he enjoys the camaraderie among The Run Squad members and enjoys the environment where people help one another to achieve their running goals.
He has a world of knowledge on Trail Racing and preparation for the big events and is always willing to share his experiences with his fellow athletes.
Tania Drahonchuk is one super fit lady.
She says she never thought that her life would be connected with fitness, but when she first tried obstacle racing her life changed - “That’s it, that’s what I dreamed about - both strength and running combined.”
Tania started this kind of racing back in Ukraine in 2015 and continued when she arrived in Australia with outstanding success.
Her achievements to date include Top 5 female ASIA PACIFIC Spartan Race 2018, Top 3 Female Australia Spartan Race Championships 2019.
She also has some great results in trail running events including the Rafferty's Coastal Run, Malaysia and the North Face Trail Running Festival.
Morgan Yuen first met Coach Warren Williams in 2018 when he was Head of Athletics and Cross Country at Kincoppal Rose Bay.
​
A keen teenage runner over many distances, Morgan was inspired by her father Spencer, her training partner, to set goals and improve her running post High School where she had already completed 15 half marathons with a PB of 1 hour 57 mins.
​
Morgan joined The Run Squad in December of 2019 to continue her coaching connection with Warren.
Her 5km decreased from 28 minutes to 21, but her improvement over the Half Marathon distance has been most impressive with a current PB of
1 hour and 32 minutes. That's 25 minutes since joining the Squad.
​
Morgan has now completed almost 50 half marathons with three 1st place results in the under 20 male & female age category . She was awarded The Run Squad Most Improved Female Runner. for 2020. ​​
